Albany Town House

Albany Township Town House Restoration Project

Keeping a small piece of history alive!

We have found a little history about Albany township. The earliest date found regarding Albany Township dates back to December 29, 1788 when twenty-four men signed an instrument binding them to the purchase of a tract of land lying between Sudbury, Canada and Waterford.

After completing a survey, Samuel Titcomb classified the area as "Township Number Five" on February 18, 1791.

These men settled into the area and became leading men in the community.
