Thank you in advance for your help in preserving a little piece of Maine History!

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

During the past year, your generous help enabled the Albany Improvement Association (AIA) to make significant progress toward its goals of making The Albany Town House a viable community center. Mark Hindeman and his crew painted the exterior of the building, Don Bean built and installed new screen doors, and Terry and Sandy Swett donated a new sign for the front of the building (see picture below), installed by John Kimball.

Summer activities at the Town House included Norma Salway's Vintage Clothing Luncheon, a wedding (the first ever in the Town House - we think), and the Albany Music Revival, organized by Brad Hopper and featuring several local bands. In the fall, Buzzy Lapham organized another successful Yard Sale and Joan Kimball oversaw the November elections.

We remind you that the Albany Town House is available to local residents for meetings, functions, weddings, family reunions, lectures, and public gatherings. To make reservations, email robrien@bbns.org.

Our fundraising efforts this year will be aimed at making the Town House a more comfortable and attractive meeting place. To accomplish these goals we want to have a well drilled, a septic system installed and the landscaping improved. This is an ambitious project, but we feel that it can be done--with your support.

Please fill out the enclosed card and return it with your donation, which will automatically make you a member of the Albany Improvement Association.

Thank you again for your generosity.

Sincerely,

The Albany Improvement Association
